Stephen Ong, MD, is a family physician and the Medical Director at Healthcare of Greater Washington. He founded the free-standing, medical center - formally known as Ong Medical Center - in 1979. Ghazala Shah, MD, is a board certified Internal Medicine Specialist at Healthcare of Greater Washington. Dr. Shah graduated honors in 1981 from Punjab Medical College and completed her residency at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs/ Georgetown University, a partnered program. Since, she has been in practice for more than 20 years, providing acute care, managing chronic diseases, performing physical exams, and implementing preventive care, including - but not limited to - EKGs, labs, immunizations, and blood test screenings. While she does not affiliate with any hospital, she cooperates with other doctors and specialists within the Healthcare of Greater Washington medical group, in order to provide accurate feedback and the best treatment for her patients. Dr. Meller works at Healthcare of Greater Washington and MD Medical Research. During medical school and residency she was active in research studies. During residency she was the Principal Investigator for a clinical research trial and she also served on the local Institutional Review Board (IRB).
